141 Eyewear: Products With A Purpose

It's a new year at the Eye Studio, and we are super excited to introduce a line of designer frames from our very own Shu-Chu Wu: 141 Eyewear. Handmade in Japan, these high quality plastic frames come with a very interesting idea: What if for every frame we sold, we gave away a complete pair of prescription glasses to someone in need? Shu-Chu got a head start on that dream in Taiwan this January (read about it here: "141 Eyewear Clinic: Jiasian"). And now we are proud to announce the first unveiling of 141 Eyewear exclusively at The Eye Studio for a limited time. Come on in and check it out, after all, how often do you get to meet the person who designed your eyeglass frames?

The Year is Almost Over!

As the year draws to a chilly close, we thought we'd post a friendly reminder to all those folks with insurance benefits and flex-spending left this year: if you don't use it, come the first of the year it will be no more! Glasses are a great way to take advantage of flex-spending, whether that be the all-important backup pair or a pair of prescription sunglasses to take on the sunny slopes this winter. Fresh For Fall

As red and yellow leaves litter the sidewalks here in the Pearl District, the Eye Studio blog is officially back from its summer hiatus. You can look forward to more frequent updates including up-to-the-minute news, pictures and links. So check back often!

Memorial Day Holiday Hours

The Eye Studio will be closed beginning Saturday, May 23 - Monday, May 25, 2009 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. We will resume regular office hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2009.

They Have Arrived!!! "Jackie O" Sunglasses Reissued by Designer Nina Ricci

The classic "Jackie O" sunglasses that many remember from times past are now becoming a part of the present. Starting in late April/early May, we will be carrying all the colors of the reissued classic line. The reissue is an exact replica of the original, and is available in six beautiful color combinations. Stop by our optical shop to try them all. Who knows, maybe you will find that you wear the "Jackie O" better than Jackie O herself!
